夏休みだ~!

12th August: Prata Planet

Thosai
We went to the Indian restaurant near our Clementi classroom with some of our students (before and after their lessons!) for lunch.

Indian breads in Singapore are not commonly found in Japan because the Indian breads here are mostly from South India. In Japan, you usually eat Naan, which is North Indian.

Pictured right is a "Thosai" (トセイ). It is a little sour (maybe yoghurt?) and always comes with 3 different sauces!

Tissue Prata & Mango Lassi
Pictured left is a "Tissue Prata". It is called a "Tissue" Prata because it is very, very thin! It is crispy, a little like sweet potato chips!

The drinks are "Mango Lassi", a yoghurt type drink blended with Mango.

Have you tried them before? Which is your favourite?

28th August: 煮炒

Sunshine after the rain~!
It was raining on the day we went to eat 煮炒. A few students have just arrived in Singapore not long ago and so we decided to go eat chilli crab!

煮炒 (zhu chao) is a seafood shop that you can find in many coffeeshops. They usually sell different types of seafood, various meat dishes and also fried rice/noodles.

We ate Chilli Crab, Black Pepper Crab, Cereal Prawns. Yam Ring, Broccoli with Mushrooms, Braised Tofu and fried/steamed buns.

We had a wonderful meal! Care to join us next time?

1st September: 吉品香

We went back to 吉品香 for dinner this time!

We ordered some new things items.

There were:
中国語:酸菜炖白肉,家乡凉拌菜,溜肥肠,姜葱木耳

日本語:白菜の漬物と豚肉スープ、家庭風サラダ、豚肉炒め、生姜葱味の木耳炒め
